Becoming my own best friend

LTH lands at your feet at just the moment you need it. Don’t ignore your curiosity.
It’s hearing that voice in your head right now, telling you that you don’t need anything, and learning that that means you need it most. It’s making your peace with that. It’s the hug just as you’re about to fall apart, or the deep breath of strength just as you walk out on stage, it’s the loving prompt of “how are you REALLY?” When you’re nodding and smiling through a bad day. It’s the mirror that nobody wants to look in, yet everybody should because it’ll give you a self worth you’ve never known, a new gratitude for the things right in front of you that somehow you haven’t seen, and you’ll find yourself falling in love over and over again.
Its being yourself, and actually being ok with that. It’s an ongoing ripple of growth and healing, a journey that I will remember with fondness always. It’s discovering that in a room full of strangers, you’re the person that you know the least about, it’s accepting that introduction to yourself and then the process of becoming your own best friend. It’s knowing that you’re walking in the right direction, even without knowing your destination. It’s all of the things I didn’t know were missing. - Jodie W
