Thanks to the organisation of Captain Chloe Scott-Mearns and Staff Sergeant Ashleigh Witts, the 17 Port & Maritime Regiment RLC, based in Southampton, recently carried out Op TEAMWORK, which was an all day activity designed to stimulate conversation, foster inclusive culture and develop good practice.

The intention for the day was to conduct a tactical pause, creating time for sub-units and departments to develop and empower all ranks. The day provided discussion and feedback on Regimental and Army topics and delivered low level training, focussing on individual wellness.
The day centred around discussions and Regimental updates, physical wellness activities and evening entertainment. This fun filled day was for the individuals to learn more about themselves and become stress-free. This included activities such as low-level command tasks, reflexology, cold water therapy, yoga, reiki, and massages.
The main event was Jay the The Soul Coach who delivered an empowering breathwork and meditation combination, taking the participants on a journey of self- discovery. Following the experience, they talked about their past, their own personal journeys and how they have discovered their better selves..
Everybody who attended (around 250.) came out a lot more focused, relaxed and with more clarity through the combination of meditation, breathwork and coaching techniques.
